daGoogie is the solo project of Deb Googe, bass player in My Bloody Valentine and Thurston Moore

Group. da Googie blends traditional basslines with more abstract noises and field recordings to make songs based around intricate, layered soundscapes.

In November 2023, she released a split 12” record with Too Many Things and spent the next few months touring throughout Europe and the UK in support of that record. In the summer of 2024 she took a hiatus from touring to complete her first full length album, a collaboration with her friend of many years Cara Tivey. The record: The Golden Thread was released in March 2025 via Tiny Global Productions

CaraTivey is a pianist and composer. During the 80’s and 90’s Cara worked as a session keyboardist,

touring and recording with various bands, including Everything but the Girl, Billy Bragg and latterly Blur during their ‘Parklife’ era. She then taught music and Performing Arts at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford.

Recently Cara has focused on her own material, refining her compositional style, resulting in pieces that

reflect her musical influences and background. She is particularly inspired by the Herefordshire countryside.

She has released two digital albums with material from both being featured in Soulection mixes and in BBC Radio 3 programmes ‘In Tune’, ‘Classical Focus’ and ‘Sleeping Forecast’. Her piano pieces encompass a variety of styles including jazz and classical.

da Googie + Cara Tivey will be playing songs from their album: The Golden Thread
